Team & corporate headshots

Most company headshot sets are a mess. Half the team was photographed three years ago against a grey wall, the new starters used selfies, and the leadership page looks like six different companies.

I can fix that in a day. I will come to you, photograph everyone on a schedule that doesn't wreck their diaries, and light it so the whole set looks like it belongs together.

Who I work with

Most of my corporate work is with healthcare technology organisations, with consultancies working in digital transformation and service design, and with professional services firms. In all three, the people I'm photographing are busy, and a lot of them arrive expecting to dislike it. Getting someone from that to a photograph they're happy with, in the few minutes they've got, is most of the job!

What a headshot day looks like

Setup. I like to arrive an hour or half an hour before the first slot. I need a room roughly 4 by 4 metres or larger with a power socket. No window required, no particular wall colour, no need to clear a floor.

Schedule. Most sessions have a few minutes per person, If you want more time per person then we can discuss it directly. It depends on the type of photo you want and how many people there are. We can create a running order in advance so people book a slot rather than queue if required.

The sitting itself. Each person gets a real conversation and direction, it’s not a conveyor belt. Most people are surprised how short it is and how much better it feels than they expected.

Review. People can see their shots on screen before they leave if we build in time for it, so nobody is chasing you a week later asking to be re-done.

Delivery. Retouched images within 5 working days, through a gallery your team can access directly. Sized and cropped for LinkedIn, your website, decks and press - based on requirements.

Price

Team headshots
£1,200 for up to 12 people at one location. Each additional person is £90.

The price covers everything: travel, setup, the shoot, retouching and delivery. The quote you approve is what you'll be invoiced.

Candid and documentary photography
Added to a headshot day: £400 for a half day, £650 for a full day.

On its own: £650 for a half day, £950 for a full day.

A half day gives you 20–40 edited images; a full day gives you 40–80.

Bespoke quotes
Shoots across several sites, outside the North West, or matching an existing set of headshots are priced individually.

New starters and top-ups

New people arrive between headshot days. Rather than leaving them with a selfie until the next one, send them to me and I'll match them to your existing set.

One person, at my Liverpool studio: £200, including one retouched image. Extra images £50 each.

Up to five people, at my studio: £350.

At your offices: £350 minimum, whatever the headcount, just because travel and setup is accounted for.

Consistency, including six months from now

Matching a set of photos on the day is the easy part, the harder challenge is matching someone that starts 6 months later.

I keep a note of the lighting and background setup for every client I work with, so a new starter photographed later drops into the existing set without looking like an afterthought. Ask for a top-up session whenever you need one, whether that's three people or one.

This matters most where the intake is predictable. If you take a trainee cohort every September, promote in the spring and hire laterally in between, the set fragments on a schedule. It can be maintained on the same schedule.

Away days and off-sites

If you're getting people in a room anyway, a headshot day is only half of what's available.

I also shoot candid and documentary coverage alongside the headshots - the sessions, the conversations, the bits in between. That gives you the imagery you might need for recruitment, your careers page, social and internal comms, where most organisations are still using stock photographs of people pointing at whiteboards.

It can be done same day, with the same booking, with one photographer who isn't a stranger by the time the candid work starts!

How quoting works

Send me four things - headcount, location, the date you're thinking of, and whether you want candid coverage alongside - and you'll have a fixed, inclusive quote back within one working day.

No day-rate-plus-extras, no per-image charges afterwards, and no surprises on the invoice.

Where

Liverpool and the North West. Most of my corporate work happens here, at your offices.

Manchester and London. Regularly, and travel is inside the quote rather than added to it.

Elsewhere in the UK. Just tell me where and I'll price it.

What Clients Say

“We hired Joe to help with a corporate event, and gave him quite a unique brief to integrate artwork into his headshots.

He was extremely supportive, gave additional ideas to the event brief and was a great collaborator with our team. Would highly recommend!”

- Emma Humbey, Philips Health

“Joe undertook some corporate photos for us, down on Liverpool waterfront. Levels of communication have been superb, and although we had some trouble with the weather first time round, our second lot of photos we were very happy with.”

- Samantha McCauley, Hasset Homes

“Had a session with Joe in London and loved it! Joe made it a super relaxed and comfortable session, and it was fun trying out different settings etc.

I was a bit nervous but Joe has a really easy-going, patient way about him. Definitely recommend!”

- Chris Caden, Hippo Digital

Questions

How many people can you photograph in a day? Around 30 comfortably, at 15 minutes each. More than that and it starts to feel like a production line, which defeats the point.

What if someone's off sick on the day? They go in the next top-up session, matched to the same setup.

Do you need a studio or a special room? No. A meeting room with a power socket and a bit of space is enough. I bring everything else.

How long until we get the images? 5 working days for the full set, retouched and sized.

Can people choose their own shot? Yes. Everyone sees their frames before they leave if we build that into the session, and the gallery lets people pick their favourite rather than having one chosen for them.

Who owns the images? Your organisation gets a licence for business use - website, LinkedIn, decks, press, recruitment. I keep the copyright and the right to show the work, unless you need otherwise, in which case say so before the shoot.
